Step 1

Rice with meat

Rinse the meat under cold water, pat dry. Cut the pulp into small pieces. Fry the meat in vegetable oil for 10 minutes over high heat until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Then reduce heat and cook for about 10 more minutes until the meat is cooked through.

Step 2

Peel the onion and chop into small strips. Grate the peeled carrots. Add spices to the meat - salt, red pepper, as well as onions and carrots. Stir the meat and flatten in a skillet.

Rinse the rice in cold water. Add long grain rice to the meat and spread it evenly with a spoon. Pour in boiling water gently. It should cover the rice by 1 cm. To absorb the water evenly, stir the water with the rice, being careful not to touch the meat. Do not cover the pan with a lid.

Simmer rice and meat over medium heat until water is absorbed. Then reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for about 15 minutes. When the rice is ready, stir it with the meat and leave to infuse under the lid for at least 5 minutes.

Rice with meat, cooked in the oven

Boil pre-washed rice with salted water until half cooked. Chop the onions into thin strips and grate the carrots on a medium grater.

Wash the meat and cut into small cubes. Lightly sauté the pieces of meat in a saucepan in sunflower oil. Add onions and carrots to the meat. Simmer meat with vegetables for about 5-7 minutes. At the end of cooking, season with salt and spices to taste.

Step 7

Pour vegetable oil into the bottom of earthenware baking pots. Divide the meat mass equally into 2 parts. Fill the pots with one half of the meat, top with the boiled rice and then the remaining toasted meat pieces. Pour some boiled water into each pot, cover and place them in a cold oven. Set the temperature to 200 ° C. Rice with meat in pots will be ready in 30-40 minutes.
