Stuffed peppers with rice and minced meat is one of the traditional dishes on the Russian table. It is prepared quickly, it turns out delicious, it is eaten quickly - in one sitting. Plus, no special ingredients are required to make it.

It is necessary

  • Sweet pepper - 10 pieces;
  • Minced meat - 1 kg;
  • Onions - 3 medium-sized heads;
  • Garlic - 1-2 cloves;
  • Parboiled rice - 0.5 tbsp.;
  • Tomato paste - 2-3 tbsp spoons;
  • Carrots - 1-2 pcs.;
  • Vegetable oil - for frying;
  • Peppers or ground pepper - to taste;
  • Salt and herbs to taste.

Instructions

Step 1

Rinse pepper, remove stalks and seeds. This is best done with a sharp knife. Be very careful not to damage the fruit.

Step 2

Rinse the rice, pour into a ladle, put on gas. As soon as it becomes a little softer (it will be easy to bite in half), remove from heat, transfer to a colander and rinse again with clean water.

Step 3

If you have whole meat, mince it with a meat grinder. The finished minced meat should be put in a bowl next to the cooked rice. There you also need to send 2 onions, finely chopped and slightly stewed in vegetable oil (it will be tastier this way). Add spices, mix everything well. Put the minced meat in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, so that it infuses a little. Mix.

Step 4

Stuff the prepared peppers with minced meat, mixed with rice and onions, as tightly as possible.

Step 5

Heat vegetable oil in a cauldron. Add the onion, cut into half rings, and fry. Once it is slightly golden in color, add the carrots. After the vegetables are browned, add the tomato paste. Leave to cook again for 5-7 minutes.

Step 6

Transfer the pepper to a cauldron, pour hot water. Leave to simmer for half an hour over low heat. Then add spices, chopped garlic, herbs. After 10 minutes, remove the dishes with stuffed peppers, minced meat and rice from the heat, cover with a warm towel.
