The word "cake" in translation from English means a cake. But traditionally, a cake is a confectionery product prepared with the addition of nuts, dried fruits, candied fruits and marmalade. This pastry is served as a dessert for coffee, tea or hot chocolate.

It is necessary

    • For a nut cake:
    • 100 g butter or margarine;
    • 1 cup granulated sugar;
    • 200 g sour cream;
    • 2 eggs;
    • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda;
    • vanillin;
    • 100 g raisins;
    • 200 g of shelled walnuts;
    • 8-9 tablespoons of flour.
    • For the fruit jelly cupcake:
    • 175 g creamy margarine;
    • 75 g icing sugar;
    • 2 eggs;
    • 6-8 tablespoons of plastic marmalade
    • cut into pieces;
    • 220 g pancake flour;
    • 100 g of light pitted raisins.
    • For the honey cake:
    • 75 g of honey;
    • 50 g granulated sugar;
    • 50 g margarine;
    • 100 g flour;
    • 50 g chopped walnuts;
    • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda;
    • 1 egg;
    • vanillin.
    • For glaze:
    • 110 g sugar;
    • 50 g chopped nuts.

Instructions

Step 1

Nut cupcake. Mash soft butter or margarine with granulated sugar. Whisk in the eggs and, while rubbing, add the baking soda and vanillin. Stir everything until smooth. Grind peeled walnuts in a mortar, sort out the raisins, rinse with warm boiled water and dry. Put nuts with raisins in the dough and, stirring, gradually add flour, picking up with a spoon with a small slide. The dough should be in the consistency of thick sour cream. Grease the pan generously with margarine and place the dough in it. Smooth the surface with a spoon and place the cake pan in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. Check the readiness of the cake with a match. Turn the baked muffin out of the mold onto a board, cover with a dish and turn quickly.

Step 2

Cupcake with marmalade. Whisk soft margarine until fluffy and mash with powdered sugar. Beat eggs separately. Add them in small portions to the margarine and stir well after adding each portion. Sort out, wash, dry the raisins with a napkin and put in the mixture, add marmalade and vanillin. Then add flour and knead the dough. Lubricate a special form with margarine, put the dough in it and smooth the surface with a spoon. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, put the baking dish in it and bake the cake for 1-1.5 hours. Use a match or a splinter to check if the cake is ready. If it is dry, remove the muffin from the oven. Let it stand for about fifteen minutes, and then remove it from the mold.

Step 3

Honey cake. Place honey, sugar and margarine in a bowl. Melt them over low heat, stirring well and not boiling. Pour flour, baking soda, vanilla and nuts into the mixture. Beat the egg separately and add to the dough too. Stir everything thoroughly and divide the dough into ten to fourteen servings. Lubricate the muffin tins with melted margarine, place the dough in them and knead by hand. Bake the muffins in the oven at 180 degrees for fifteen to twenty minutes. Remove the finished products from the molds and leave to cool, cover with a towel. Boil granulated sugar for the glaze with two tablespoons of water until the sugar is completely dissolved, you can add any aromatic substance. Brush the frosting onto the muffins and sprinkle with chopped nuts on top.
