Tempura refers to the Japanese way of deep-fried food. Its peculiarity lies in a special batter, in which the ingredients are dipped before frying. Shrimp is often prepared in this way - an ideal snack for beer or white wine.
It is necessary
- - 10 king prawns;
- - 0.5 liters of sunflower oil;
- - 2 cloves of garlic;
- - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of olive oil;
- - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of ice water;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of starch;
- - 4 tbsp. tablespoons of flour;
- - 2 tbsp. spoons of soy sauce.
Instructions
Step 1
Combine finely chopped garlic with olive oil. Coat the previously defrosted shrimp with this marinade and leave for 20 minutes.
Step 2
When the shrimps are ready, prepare the batter. To do this, mix flour with starch, add soy sauce and ice water. Mix everything carefully without beating.
Step 3
Heat 500 ml of sunflower oil in a skillet. Fry the shrimps in it, having previously dipped them in batter. Then place on a napkin to get rid of excess fat. Serve the cooked tempura shrimp with lemon and soy sauce.
