Step 1
Melt the chocolate bar in a water bath. To do this, put a pot of water on the fire, put an enamel or glass plate on top so that it completely covers the top of the pot. Put the chocolate in this bowl and watch the process. As soon as the chocolate begins to melt, stir it actively with a spoon. If you use chocolate with a high cocoa butter content, it will melt quickly enough. Once all the tiles are melted, remove them from the bath.
Step 2
Turn on the oven in advance so that it warms up. Beat butter and sugar with a mixer, add freshly grated orange zest on a spicy grater. Beat the eggs one at a time into the same air mass, that is, first, beat in one egg, beat with a mixer, then the second, and so on. Now add lukewarm melted chocolate into the resulting beautiful light mass. Make sure it is not hot.
Step 3
Grind the peeled almonds on a coffee grinder and gently mix into the dough.
Step 4
Grease a baking tray with a little oil and pour the beaten dough into it. Place in the oven and bake in an oven preheated to 150 degrees for 40-50 minutes.
Step 5
While the cake is baking, prepare the icing to decorate the cake. To do this, melt the chocolate in a water bath, cool and combine with butter. Mix everything thoroughly. You should get a homogeneous, shiny, smooth mass.
Step 6
Put the finished cake on a wire rack and turn it over, let it cool. Please note that the cake will not rise much, since you put chopped nuts instead of flour. Now fill with icing. First, 4-5 cm from the edge, then level the mass in the middle with a knife or spatula. This cake looks great without additional decorations. But if you wish, you can slice the orange into thin slices and lay it nicely on top. Leave the cake to soak for 2-3 hours.
