Both children and adults love porridge. One of the most beloved of them is milk rice porridge. It's easy to cook it, but not everyone knows how to do it. Meanwhile, there is nothing complicated in the preparation of rice porridge.

- 0.5 liters of milk

- 50 g butter
- 50 g sugar
- 125 gr. rice
- vanilla sugar
- cinnamon

Step 1
Pour the rice into a bowl, sort it out if necessary. Rinse several times until the water remains clear.

Pour milk into a saucepan, salt, add vanillin, separate a 10 gram piece from the prepared butter, put in milk and put on fire. Do not go far from the stove, milk can easily escape, so you need to monitor it and stir it periodically.
Step 3
Pour rice into boiled milk, let it boil, reduce heat on the stove to the minimum possible. Cover the pan with a lid and leave the porridge to simmer for 40-45 minutes. The cooking time depends on the type of rice and the shape of the grain. Do not open the pan lid all the time while the porridge is cooking.
Step 4
Arrange the porridge on bowls, melt the remaining butter over low heat, pour the rice over the top and sprinkle with sugar mixed with cinnamon.
Step 5
According to this recipe, the porridge turns out to be thick, you can eat it both hot and cold. If you like more viscous and thin porridge, increase the amount of milk by 150-200 ml.
