Croutons can be made from any type of bread. The only condition is that the bread must be stale, otherwise it will be difficult to cut it into equal pieces. Keep in mind that white bread makes croutons more tender than black bread. Cut the bread into roughly equal cubes or wedges. When baking, the pieces of bread shrink slightly. Therefore, the cubes must be at least 1x1 cm.

Place the sliced bread in the oven. Dry them at 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Remove from the oven and cook further depending on the selected taste.

If you decide to make garlic-flavored croutons, then take about 3 garlic cloves and 1 teaspoon of salt per 100 g of croutons. Chop the garlic, grind it with salt. Pour vegetable oil into the pan. After the oil has warmed up, add the croutons and grated garlic to the pan. Stir vigorously for 1-2 minutes. Don't let the garlic burn. Put the hot croutons on a paper towel to absorb the excess oil. After the croutons have cooled, they can be served to the table.

You can also cook garlic-flavored croutons as follows. Sprinkle the croutons with "garlic water" while they are still in the oven. To prepare it, grind the crushed garlic with salt and dilute with boiled water.

If you want to get croutons with the taste of sour cream and dill, chop and grind with 1/3 tsp. salt bunch of greens. Add 1 teaspoon of dry cream and 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Let the mixture sit for 20-30 minutes. Then strain. Put the crackers in a frying pan, pour the mixture over the top. Fry the croutons over medium heat with vigorous stirring for 2-3 minutes. Then put on a napkin until it cools completely.

You can make croutons and cheese flavored. To do this, take hard cheese, grate it on a fine grater. Pour some vegetable oil into the skillet. When the oil is well heated, put the croutons in the pan, stir and sprinkle with grated cheese. You can let the cheese brown a little.
