If your home has stale bread, loaf or pastry, and none of your household wants to finish. Do not rush to throw it away, because you can make crackers from any bakery product. For children - sweet croutons, and for adults - savory.
Instructions
Step 1
To make spicy garlic croutons, use a loaf or brown bread. If the baked product is relatively fresh, the croutons will be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Cut the bread into pieces and then into cubes. Pour just over half a glass of sunflower oil into an enamel bowl. Squeeze the garlic through the garlic press and add to the butter. Add three pinches of dried dill and basil, and season with salt. You can use any set of spices to your taste. If you want the croutons to turn out more spicy, pepper. Mix everything well and transfer the bread to a bowl. Stir the butter into the bread and let it soak well. Put the future croutons on a baking sheet and place in a preheated oven. Dry them for 20 minutes. Then remove from the oven, put in any dish and do not cover with anything, then they will be more crispy.
Step 2
If you have pastry buns at home, please your child with sweet croutons. Cut the buns into thin slices or small cubes. Preheat the oven and place the slices on a baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the oven for 15 minutes. As soon as a pinkish crust appears on the crackers, turn off the oven.
Step 3
Tomato croutons will be an excellent snack for beer. To make them, take a loaf of black bread. Chop it into pieces and cut off the rind immediately. Cut the pieces into small cubes or thin strips, similar to those sold in factory packs. Place 3 tablespoons of tomato paste in any small bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add a pinch of dried dill. Mix everything well so that the spices are evenly distributed throughout the mass. Spread the resulting mixture on the croutons with a thin layer using a knife. Do not overdo it, otherwise the bread will soften and you will get porridge. Then fry the slices of bread in a pan with a small addition of sunflower oil.
