Choosing sticks and iris

To make the dessert not only tasty, but also beautiful, buy the smallest corn sticks. Products in the form of balls look very nice. If you can't find them on sale, get regular sticks and cut them into pieces with a sharp knife.

Choose the right iris. It should be fresh and not too harsh. The ideal option is a semi-hard milk or cream toffee. If you like unusual flavors, buy toffee with a coffee, nutty, or chocolate flavor.

Corn sticks cake

This cake resembles the classic "Anthill", but cooks much faster. The finished product can be decorated with chocolate, sprinkled with ground nuts, cocoa powder or powdered sugar.

You will need:

- 100 g corn sticks;

- 100 g of butter;

- 500 g of iris;

- 50 g of white chocolate;

- 2 tbsp. tablespoons of cream or milk.

To prevent the iris from burning, melt it in a water bath. Place a large bowl in a saucepan of boiling water, put the butter and toffee, freed from the wrappers, into it. Melt the mixture while stirring. Remove the pan from heat.

Prepare a flat dish and brush lightly with butter. Pour corn sticks into a bowl of toffee and stir the mixture with a spoon until smooth. Spoon the mixture onto a rounded platter. With hands dipped in cold water, shape the cake, making it more even. Let the product harden, it will take at least an hour.

In a saucepan, melt the white chocolate mixed with cream or milk. Stir the mixture and put it in a pastry syringe. If a syringe is not available, use a paper cornet with a cut-off tip. Apply strokes and zigzags to the cake. Leave the product until it hardens completely - the iris should become dense and keep its shape when cut. Before serving, the cake can be decorated with sugar flowers or chocolate beads scattered on a platter.

Corn cakes

Corn stick cakes are great for children's parties. They are made from the same ingredients as the cake, but do not use chocolate icing or other decorations. Melt the toffee with butter, mix with corn sticks. Prepare a bowl of cold water.

Dip your hands into it, and then take some hot mixture of sticks and toffee and form a bun. Squeeze it tighter to keep the cake from falling apart. Place the finished koloboks on a large buttered plate. It is advisable that the cakes lie in one layer, so they do not stick together. Leave the products until they have completely cooled and solidified, then fold them into a beautiful pyramid and serve.
