Fried sea bass is perfect both for cooking as a healthy everyday dish and for meeting guests. The delicate taste of sea fish goes well with almost any side dish, and you can fry it in a few minutes.
It is necessary
-
- sea bass,
- salt,
- pepper,
- flour,
- thyme,
- vegetable oil.
Instructions
Step 1
Defrost sea bass before frying. It is best to do this at room temperature, since if you immerse the fish in water to speed up the process, then all juices will be washed out of it and when frying it will turn out to be dry. If fillet was purchased, then it does not need additional processing. Clean the whole fish from the scales with a knife, cut out the fins, cut off the tail and head. Then you can cut the halves of the perch into pieces or fry them whole.
Step 2
Mix equal proportions of thyme, salt, pepper and evenly coat the fish with this mixture on all sides. Thyme and pepper will add flavor to the fish. You can also use rosemary or special fish spices. Set the perch aside for 20-30 minutes so that it has time to marinate.
Step 3
Pour flour in a slide on a flat plate, roll the fish in it on all sides. If for some reason there was no flour in the house, you can use crackers or starch as breading. The latter will not give such a golden crust like flour, but it will keep the juiciness of the fish.
Step 4
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, it is advisable to choose refined oil so that there is no pungent smell when frying. Place fish pieces in a skillet in hot oil. If you do not heat it up enough, then the flour breading does not form an even, golden crust on the fish, under which all the juices are preserved. There should be enough oil so that it covers the pieces of fish about halfway, then the fish will be deep-fried evenly on all sides. After a crust forms on one side, the perch is turned over to the other side. The entire cooking process takes about 10 minutes.
