Mashed potatoes are already a classic, but sometimes you want to diversify the menu and prepare an unusual side dish. Pea puree with onion and dill is what can diversify your table, be sure to try it.
It is necessary
- - 1 cup whole peas;
- - 3 glasses of water;
- - 5 onions;
- - a bunch of fresh dill:
- - 3 tbsp. tablespoons of vegetable oil;
- - black pepper, salt.
Instructions
Step 1
So, pour the indicated amount of water into a saucepan, bring to a boil, salt. Rinse the peas first, put them in boiling water. Cook until fully cooked - the peas should boil down, become like porridge.

Take just young onions, peel, cut into rings, it is not necessary to cut thinly. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, put onions, fry. You can season the onion with black pepper. Fry until golden brown.

Then add the fried onions along with vegetable oil to the pea puree, stir. It is worth noting that the more fried onions you add, the tastier you will get the puree.
Step 4
Rinse the dill in advance, leave to dry on a paper towel. Then finely chop the herbs.
Step 5
Arrange the finished pea puree with onions on plates, sprinkle with dill, serve hot. Can be served with any vegetable salad. If you have cooked mashed potatoes as a side dish for dinner or lunch, then you can serve any fried meat with it - it will turn out to be very satisfying.
