Shrimp rolls are a simple, affordable and hearty dish that is not at all difficult to prepare at home.

It is necessary

    • king (or tiger) prawns
    • rice
    • avocado
    • cucumber
    • nori
    • rice vinegar
    • Philadelphia cheese.

Instructions

Step 1

Place a pot of water over high heat. There should be twice as much water as the rice used. Salt the water. Rinse the rice with cold water and dip in boiling water. Wait until it boils, reduce heat to low, cover and cook until water is completely absorbed (about 20-25 minutes). Then turn off the heat and leave the rice in the saucepan, covered, for 10 minutes.

Step 2

While the rice is infused, prepare the rest of the products. Peel the avocado and slice it longitudinally. Wash the cucumber, peel, if necessary, and also cut into pieces. Peel the shrimps and lightly fry in a pan (2 minutes) or throw in boiling water for a minute.

Step 3

Add vinegar to rice and stir. Take a sheet of nori (special seaweed for making sushi), put it on a mat, put warm rice on the nori in a thin layer (half a sheet), put the filling in the center of the strip of rice (rice should not be hot, also do not use completely cooled rice - it will not stick together).

Step 4

Filling options: shrimp, avocado, cucumber; shrimp, Philadelphia cheese, cucumber; shrimp, Philadelphia cheese, avocado.

Step 5

Wrap a roll with rice and filling, secure the edge of the nori. Cut the tube into 6 pieces (if it is too thick, cut it into eight pieces).

Step 6

Make shrimp nigiri. To do this, take a small amount of rice (30-50 grams), roll the boat with wet hands, press lightly to seal it. Draw a small strip of wasabi on top of the rice boat. Now take the peeled shrimp, leave only the tail, cut it from the bottom in the center (not completely) and open it. Then place the shrimp on top of the rice, pressing down a little.
