Olive oil is a well-known source of vitamins for the whole body. It contains a high amount of monounsaturated fatty acids and polyphenols. It is also known that olive oil helps to reduce the level of "bad" cholesterol in the human blood and at the same time maintain the level of "good" cholesterol at the proper level.
Instructions
Step 1
When buying, you should pay special attention to the inscription on the bottle. Ideally, it says Extra Virgin, which means it is first cold pressed. This oil retains all the beneficial properties and taste.
Step 2
The Pomace inscription or the absence of any inscription means that this is a product of deep processing of raw materials. Such oil is obtained either by heating the cake left over from the first cold pressing, often in the oil obtained in this way, certain flavors and thickeners are also added to give it an appearance similar to Extra Virgin oil.
Step 3
The appearance of the packaging also requires careful examination. It is preferable to choose oil in a transparent container. It shows the true color of the product, in contrast to dark or greenish bottles, where the color of the oil itself is distorted.
