Brambrak is a Czech national dish. Potato pancakes are very similar to our pancakes, but they have their own peculiarities in cooking. They are taken as a main course, a side dish for meat or a snack for beer.

It is necessary

  • - potatoes 500 g;
  • - onions 2 pcs;
  • - smoked breast 150 g;
  • - light beer 100 ml;
  • - flour 100 g;
  • - vegetable oil;
  • - marjoram, cumin;
  • - pepper, salt.

Instructions

Step 1

Wash the potatoes, boil them in a peel, let them cool, peel them off. Peel the onion. Grate potatoes and onions on a fine grater.

Step 2

Cut the chicken breast into small cubes, add to the grated potatoes. Add the egg, marjoram, caraway seeds, salt and pepper to the same mixture, pour in the beer and mix everything.

Step 3

Pour flour into the resulting mass, mix everything thoroughly again and fry pancakes on both sides in a pan with heated vegetable oil until golden brown.

Step 4

Serve hot, garnish with vegetables and herbs to taste.
