Halva in the East is the main and favorite dessert. Halva is made from starch, flour with various additives, and semolina. It turns out very tasty. This dish does not cost much.
It is necessary
- - 0.5 cups almonds
- - 2 bags of vanillin
- - 1, 75 cups semolina
- - 3 glasses of milk
- - 1 glass of water
- - 2 cups granulated sugar
- - 1 cup coconut flakes
- - 1 glass of vegetable oil
- - 3 tbsp. l. cocoa powder to taste
Instructions
Step 1
Pour milk, water into a saucepan, add vanillin, granulated sugar and bring to a boil. Simmer over low heat.
Step 2
Put butter, finely chopped semolina, peeled almonds in another saucepan. And fry over low heat, about 5-7 minutes, stirring constantly, the mass will begin to swell.
Step 3
Add hot syrup to the semolina, stirring constantly over low heat. Add gently because semolina can splatter. Cook, stirring thoroughly, until it begins to thicken and leaves the sides of the pot.
Step 4
When halva is ready, remove from heat and add coconut flakes, then stir well.
Step 5
Take tins or a muffin pan and pour part of the mass, add cocoa to the other part and lay on top of the white halva. If you do it without cocoa, then put the whole mass at once into the mold.
Step 6
Place the mold in a cool place, as soon as it cools, turn it over onto a dish and sprinkle with coconut.
