It is necessary

    • For pita:
    • flour - 5 glasses;
    • dry yeast - 3 tbsp;
    • sugar - 1 tsp;
    • warm water - 1, 5 glasses;
    • salt - 2 tsp
    • For the Pesto sauce:
    • a bunch of green basil;
    • Parmesan cheese - 50 g;
    • olive oil - 2 tablespoons;
    • lemon juice - 2 tablespoons;
    • lemon zest - 1 tsp;
    • garlic - 2 cloves;
    • pine nuts - a handful;
    • salt and pepper to taste.
    • As well as:
    • Mozzarella cheese - 10 balls;
    • cherry tomatoes - 30 pcs.

Step 1

First you need to prepare the Pesto sauce. To do this, grind the following ingredients well in a blender: basil, parmesan, lemon zest, garlic and pine nuts. Add olive oil and lemon juice to this mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste. The Pesto sauce is ready.

For toasts, you can use ready-made thick pita bread or make your own traditional oriental bread - pita. To do this, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water, leave for a while so that the yeast swells a little. Add flour, salt and knead to a soft dough. Then divide it into 14 equal portions. Roll each portion of the dough into a round cake. Leave the tortillas to rise in a warm place for one hour. Place the tortillas on a dry baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven to 200 degrees for about five minutes.

Cut the finished tortillas into portioned slices. Brush them with sauce on one side. Top with a few slices of Mozzarella and cherry tomatoes and top with another slice of pita. Bake the toast for 5 minutes in a preheated oven to 200 degrees.
