Many people do not like to cook catfish due to the fact that during cooking it melts, spreads and splashes. But on the other hand, this fish is tasty and healthy. When pickling catfish with vodka and lime, all the "taste" remains inside, breadcrumbs do not allow the fish to splash. If you follow some simple rules, you will get a good catfish steak.

It is necessary

  • - 2 catfish steaks;
  • - 30 ml of vodka;
  • - 0.5 lime;
  • - 4 tbsp. spoons of bread crumbs;
  • - 1 egg;
  • - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of olive oil;
  • - pepper, salt, vegetable oil.

Instructions

Step 1

First, you need to prepare a special marinade for the catfish: mix a glass of high-quality vodka with juice and the zest of half a lime, add olive oil, and pepper to taste. Stir this mixture thoroughly.

Step 2

Rinse the catfish, dip it in the marinade (it should completely cover it), set it aside for 30 minutes - during this time the fish will acquire a unique aroma, after frying it will become very tasty.

Step 3

Pour the breadcrumbs onto one plate, beat the egg in a separate bowl with a fork or whisk until light foam forms. Remove the catfish from the marinade, dip first in a beaten egg, then in crackers. Roll thoroughly, pressing the rusks to the fish.

Step 4

Heat vegetable or olive oil in a skillet, lay out the breaded catfish steaks, fry the fish on all sides until golden brown. Turn gently with a spatula so as not to damage the crust from the breading.

Step 5

Fried catfish in a special marinade is ready, put the steaks on a paper towel so that it absorbs excess fat. You can serve the fish with lettuce, fresh tomato wedges and parsley or dill.
