Bean broth is very satisfying and high in calories. If you are feeling really hungry and want to cook something quickly, then this broth is the perfect solution for you.
It is necessary
- - 250 grams of dry beans
- - 8 glasses of chicken broth
- - 1 smoked ham (or other meat)
- - 1 onion
- - 6 cloves of garlic
- - 1 chili pepper pod
- - 1 teaspoon of cumin
- - 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- - 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
Instructions
Step 1
Peel and coarsely chop the onion, grate the garlic.
Clean the beans from debris and rinse thoroughly. Then soak it in cold water overnight or 8 hours. After that, strain and transfer to a saucepan.
Step 2
Add pre-cooked chicken stock, meat, onion, garlic, pepper, cumin and salt to taste to the beans. Mix everything thoroughly. Place the pot on the stove and bring to a boil. After boiling, reduce heat and simmer for two hours under a closed lid.
Step 3
After the beans are completely cooked, add the cilantro and remove the pan from the heat. If necessary, add salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4
