Gnocchi are small Italian dumplings that are usually served with sauces. The soup with them turns out to be light and incredibly tasty. Gnocchi are usually prepared at home from water, eggs and flour. But they can also be purchased at the store.
It is necessary
- - 3 chicken breasts;
- - 1 onion;
- - 8 cloves of garlic;
- - 3 tbsp. olive oil;
- - 1700 milliliters of water or broth;
- - pepper and salt to taste;
- - 200 grams of Pesto sauce;
- - 1 packet of gnocchi;
- - 3 cherry tomatoes.
Instructions
Step 1
Turn on the oven and preheat it to 180 degrees. Place the chicken (breasts) on a baking sheet.
Step 2
Peel the onion, cut it into four equal parts and place on top of the meat. Add the garlic cloves.
Step 3
Pour olive oil over the chicken, salt and pepper.
Step 4
Place the baking sheet in the oven and cook for 40 minutes. Transfer the meat to cool, remove the garlic and onion.
Step 5
Use a blender to combine the broth, toasted onions and garlic. Add pesto sauce and beat until smooth. It is recommended to add the ingredients gradually.
Step 6
When the chicken has cooled down, remove the skin and bones and chop it. Place the meat in a bowl, add the sauce. Mix everything.
Step 7
Bring the water to a boil, toss the gnocchi and cook until they float.
Step 8
Arrange the chicken on plates, cover with broth with boiled gnocchi.
Step 9
Cut the tomatoes into cubes and use as a garnish.
