An excellent option for harvesting plums for the winter is jam. It can be used for the preparation of various confectionery products, added to tea, or simply consumed as a ready-made dessert.
Jam "Pyatiminutka"
You need to take:
- 2 kg of plums;
- 1 kg of sugar;
- 10 g vanilla sugar.
Having selected a ripe and strong berry, rinse it thoroughly, remove the branches and, cutting in half, remove the bones. Next, the plum must be covered with granulated sugar and left in this state overnight so that the fruits become stronger and get rid of excess juice. In the next step, place the container with the workpiece on high heat, bring to a boil and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Then put it on fire again and bring to a boil. The jam is ready, you can pour it while still hot in sterilized jars.
Classic plum jam
You will need:
- 1 kg of plums;
- 1 kg of granulated sugar;
- ½ glass of water.
Rinse the plums thoroughly, remove the leaves and seeds. Then cut into slices, fold into the prepared container, cover with sugar and cover with water. Stir everything and leave overnight. Then the plum should be cooked over medium heat for 40 minutes, stirring regularly and skimming off. As soon as the syrup thickens and stops spreading, the jam can be laid out in the jars.
Plum jam with chocolate
Required Ingredients:
- 1 kg of plums;
- 500 g sugar
- 200 g of cocoa or chocolate.
Rinse and dry the fruits thoroughly, remove the seeds and grind in a blender or meat grinder. Add 2/3 sugar (in case you are using cocoa) cook the plum over medium heat for 20-25 minutes. At this time, combine the cocoa and the remaining sugar. If you prefer chocolate, grind it as finely as possible with a knife or grater beforehand. Add cocoa with sugar or chocolate to the jam, bring to a boil and cook over medium heat for another 15-20 minutes, stirring constantly until thickened.
Plum jam in a slow cooker
You will need:
- 0.5 kg plum;
- 1/2 orange;
- 400 g of sugar.
Using a knife, carefully remove the seeds from the plum, keeping the fruits themselves as intact as possible. Cut the orange into slices. Place the plum and orange on the bottom in a dry multicooker bowl. Cover with sugar and leave to soak. You can add any spices to taste. After 1-1, 5 hours, set the "stewing" mode and simmer the jam for 40 minutes. When ready, it will be liquid, but after conservation in jars, it will thicken. The plums in the syrup will be soft but retain their shape.
Plum jam
Required:
- 1 kg of plums;
- 1 kg of apples;
- 1 kg of pear;
- 1 kg of sugar;
- 500 ml of water.
Rinse the fruits, dry with a towel. Remove the seeds from the berries, peel and core the fruit, chop finely. Place in a suitable container, add water and place over medium heat. Cook, stirring regularly, until the fruits are tender. Then add sugar and cook until tender, then put the jam in the jars.
