Potatoes are a side dish that goes well with almost all dishes. There are many ways to cook potatoes. One of these options is puff potatoes. Such potatoes are not only tasty, but also interesting in appearance.
Ingredients:
- Potatoes - 1 kg;
- Carrots - 1 pc;
- Small rutabaga - 1 piece;
- Salt;
- Frozen spinach - 250 g;
- Milk - 1 glass;
- Butter - 5 g;
- Heavy cream - 70 g;
- Hard cheese - 70 g;
- Pepper.
Preparation:
- Potatoes, rutabagas and carrots must be washed well and cut into large pieces. Boil the potatoes in a little salted water until tender. Remove boiled potatoes from heat, drain and mash with a fork. Add a spoonful of butter to the mashed potatoes, knead again. Add milk to the potatoes and beat everything thoroughly. The mixture should be airy and homogeneous.
- Boil carrots and rutabagas in a separate saucepan in slightly salted water. After the vegetables are cooked, process them in a blender and mash them. Mix the vegetable puree with a third of the resulting potato mixture.
- Defrost the spinach and squeeze the excess water out of the leaves. Mix the defrosted spinach with 6 tablespoons of mashed potato mixture.
- Then grease a heat-resistant dish with the remaining butter, put potatoes mixed with carrots and rutabaga on the bottom. The next layer is to lay out the potatoes with spinach. The last layer is the remaining mashed potatoes, which are not mixed with anything.
- Put the oven at 180 degrees.
- Beat the heavy cream, grate the hard cheese. Mix whipped cream and cheese.
- Place a heat-resistant dish with potatoes in the oven for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, take out the flaky potatoes and put a mixture of cream and grated cheese on top of it. Put the dish with potatoes in the oven again. Bake the dish for another 15 minutes. Beautiful puff potatoes are ready.
