The buckwheat diet has been a fairly popular way of losing weight in the past few years, which, moreover, can heal the body and make up for the shortcomings of the modern lifestyle and nutrition. But, like any other, the buckwheat "type" diet has its own characteristics. So what are they, and what are the beneficial properties of buckwheat?
The principles of the buckwheat diet and its advantages
The benefits of this product, widespread in modern Russia, were known back in Ancient Greece, when buckwheat was considered one of the most useful types of cereals. It is in it that the protein content is quite high, unlike other products in this category. Although buckwheat cannot compete with meat in this indicator, it is nevertheless indicated for adherents of a vegetarian diet, since it can partially satisfy the "protein" hunger of the human body.
In addition to protein, buckwheat also contains folic acid, which can stimulate the process of hematopoiesis, as well as vitamins B1, B2, B6, P, iron and calcium.
The buckwheat diet includes several principles. For example, you need to drink plenty of water and healthy drinks (green tea, healthy herbal and berry infusions, natural compotes and fruit drinks). Then three times a day boiled buckwheat with a minimum amount of salt and lack of oil is combined with any low-calorie vegetables (potatoes do not count!).
There is also an analogue of the traditional buckwheat diet with vegetables - a combination of cereals with low-fat kefir. The latter product can be drunk with meals, as well as cold buckwheat-kefir soup.
What are the features of the buckwheat diet?
The first and most important feature is the correct cooking of cereals, which differs from the usual method for housewives. The purpose of this method of making cheese is not to deprive buckwheat of all its benefits, to leave all the trace elements and vitamins in it. It is necessary to cook cereals in the following way: buckwheat is not boiled in the traditional sense of the word, but is boiled with boiling water for 8-12 hours (it is optimal to leave the cereal overnight). Then the cooled water is simply drained, and the buckwheat is already ready for use.
The second feature of the buckwheat diet is that there is practically no sugar in the product, which can affect the human body. Fatigue and headache are common signs of a deficiency. If they occur, you need to take the following measures: dilute 1-2 tablespoons of honey in a glass of boiled lukewarm (in no case in boiling water) water, and then drink the resulting drink. It will banish all adverse symptoms and raise blood sugar levels.
The third feature of the buckwheat diet is that you cannot "sit" on it for more than two weeks and repeat it more often than once every two months. It is quite effective (in two weeks you can lose 10-12 kilograms of excess weight), and constant and rapid weight loss will adversely affect the body, bringing no benefit, but only harm.
