German cuisine is not only cabbage, meat, potatoes and beer. In addition to the glorious juicy sausages, the Germans love sweets. For example, Berlin biscuits are a delicious heart-shaped puff pastry treat. In this recipe, a special highlight is the passionfruit glaze. Take the ready-made frozen dough for making cookies.
It is necessary
- For ten servings:
- - 500 g of puff pastry;
- - 1 fresh passionfruit;
- - 20 g butter;
- - 3/4 cup powdered sugar.
Instructions
Step 1
Defrost the puff pastry, place on the table, sprinkled with flour. Roll out into a rectangular layer 35x30 cm, sprinkle with sugar, fold the edges 35 cm long so that they connect in the center. Fold the resulting rectangle in half, cut with a sharp knife into slices no more than 1 cm thick.

Step 3
Moisten the hearts with water, bake for 15 minutes at 180 degrees. They should turn slightly golden. Cool the finished cookies.
Step 4
Melt the butter, add the powdered sugar and passionfruit pulp, mix until smooth. The result is a sweet frosting.
Step 5
Cover the cookies with icing, leave for 5 minutes to dry. Berlin passion fruit cookies last over a week in a tightly closed container.
