Potatoes are an ancient plant that first appeared in South America, then in Europe, and only then in Russia. Now, when time is sorely lacking, you have to eat not quite high-quality and healthy products. But if you have a microwave at home or at work, then a quick, tasty and healthy lunch or dinner will always be at hand! Let's look at two simple ways to cook potatoes in the microwave.

It is necessary

    • For the first course:
    • 1 kg of potatoes
    • a glass of milk
    • 100 g butter
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • For the second course:
    • 1 kg of potatoes

Instructions

Step 1

Begin peeling the potatoes, then cut them into small slices and place them in a microwave-safe dish. Remember to pour two tablespoons of water over the dish.

Step 2

Microwave at full power for a couple of minutes, until the potatoes are tender. Then mix the potato slices and leave them under the lid of the dish.

Step 3

Stir the milk and butter separately, add salt or pepper (both are possible) to taste, heat for about four minutes, then pour the resulting heated mixture into the potatoes and stir. The fragrant puree is ready! For the second course:

Wash the potatoes, cut them in half or into quarters (it all depends on the size), put them in a bowl with a lid and pour in some water. Cover your saucepan or bowl with a lid and put it in the microwave for 8-10 minutes at maximum power. Stir the potatoes a couple of times while cooking. As always, you add salt, oil or herbs to taste. You can even get baked potatoes in the microwave. This requires the potatoes themselves, a paper bag and salt. Wash the potatoes with water, then put them wet in a bag, fold the edges of the bag, turn on the microwave at full power. After five minutes, you can turn the bag over to the other side. after another five minutes - taste it. Readiness depends on the size of the potato, its weight and microwave power. The final product is obtained with a slightly peeled skin, as if it had just been taken out of a fire (only naturally, without ash and a characteristic smell).
