Mojito is a famous lime-flavored refreshing cocktail that is hugely popular during the hot summer season. You don't have to be a bartender to make a real Cuban Mojito: the cocktail is quick and easy to prepare.
It is necessary
- Light rum (50 ml);
- Lime (1 pc.);
- 2 tsp cane sugar;
- Several sprigs of fresh mint;
- Soda (150-200 ml);
- Tall glass for long drink cocktails;
- Ice;
- Straw.
Instructions
Step 1
Place the mint sprigs at the bottom of the cocktail glass. Cut the lime in half and cut the half of the lime into wedges. Squeeze the juice out of them into a glass, then place the lime rind on the bottom. Lightly mash the mint and lime in the bottom of the glass to release the aromatic essential oils.
Step 2
Add sugar, rum and soda to the glass. Sugar can be preheated with water to form a sugar syrup. The sugar syrup must be cooled before adding to the shake.
Step 3
Stir the cocktail with a long spoon. Place in a glass of crushed ice. A layer of ice should completely cover the layer of lime and mint in the bottom of the glass. Garnish with a lime wedge, insert a straw and enjoy the refreshing citrus flavor of a Cuban cocktail.
