Blackberry jam "five minutes"

Fresh blackberries are rich in vitamins: K, C, E, veta-carotene. It includes:

- carbohydrates;

- disaccharides;

- magnesium;

- calcium;

- sodium;

- potassium.

The beneficial substances of blackberries can be maximally preserved during the preparation of jam in a quick way. For this you need to take:

- 1 kilogram of berries;

- 1 kilogram of granulated sugar;

- 150 ml of water.

Pour water and sugar into a cooking bowl. Place on low heat, bring sugar to a viscous syrup with constant stirring. Pour in berries. Stir gently and boil the blackberries for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. After the syrup has cooled completely, repeat the whole process five to six times. The total cooking time should be about half an hour.

Pour hot jam into sterilized jars. Roll up lids for better storage.

You can also use nylon lids, in this case it is better to store the jam in a cold place.

In the cold regions of Russia, sweet and sour blackberries grow. To the south, its fruits are more saturated with sugars. Both types of berries can be successfully paired with apples or oranges to make delicious blackberry jam.

Blackberry-orange duo

To cook this jam, you will need the following components:

- 2-3 oranges;

- zest of 1 orange;

- 1.5 kg of granulated sugar;

- 700 - 800 g of blackberries;

- 200 ml of water.

Grate the orange zest on a fine grater. Free the fruit slices from the seeds and cut into small pieces. Prepare the water and sugar syrup in the cooking bowl in the usual way.

Dip slices of orange into the syrup, boil for 5 minutes. Add blackberries to the syrup. Simmer for about forty minutes, stirring occasionally and skimming. Pour the prepared jam into a prepared container.

Blackberry-apple symphony

A very interesting combination of blackberry and apple jam. The content of a large percentage of pectin allows such a product to acquire a thicker, jelly-like consistency.

To prepare this recipe, you need to take the following products:

- 1 kg of apples;

- 1 kg of blackberries;

- 2 kg of granulated sugar;

- citric acid (at the end of the knife);

- 1 glass of water.

Apples can be of any kind. The only difference will be in the percentage of acidity. For a more acidic variety, you can exclude citric acid from the recipe.

All apples must be peeled and core with seeds. Cut into small pieces. Pour water into a saucepan and put chopped apples. Simmer over low heat.

Cook the apple mass until puree. Add granulated sugar, mix well, let the sugar completely dissolve in the hot mass. Then add the blackberries. Cook the mass for about an hour.

Arrange the hot jam in previously sterilized jars. Tighten with lids. Over time, the settled jam will acquire the consistency of a beautiful bright jelly.
