Granita is a Sicilian dish. Many argue over whether it is a dessert or a drink. Granita resembles popsicles, but its texture is more related to drinks. Strawberry Raspberry Granita is a simple refreshing dessert made with frozen or fresh berries and sugar. On a hot day, this delicious coolness will come in handy.
It is necessary
- For six servings:
- - 1 glass of powdered sugar;
- - 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen raspberries
- - 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of lemon juice.
Instructions
Step 1
Combine the powdered sugar and lemon juice in a food processor. Pour in 2/3 cup of boiled hot water. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Step 2
Add strawberries and raspberries to the food processor, mix to make berry puree. If you want, you can rub the puree through a sieve to get rid of the seeds.
Step 3
Next, put the puree in a shallow plastic container, close the lid, put in the freezer for 2 hours.
Step 4
Remove the container from the freezer and break the ice with a fork into small pieces.
Step 5
Freeze the dessert for another 2 hours, then repeat the procedure and do this a couple more times every 2 hours. As a result, the berry mass should consist of small ice particles.
