Dolma (tolma) is the most famous dish that requires grape leaves. You can also bake fish in the leaves. Therefore, summer is the time to harvest grape leaves for future use. I offer the easiest and easiest way.
It is necessary
- - young grape leaves - the required amount;
- - plastic bottles from under water, with a volume of 0.33-0.5 liters - the required amount.
Instructions
Step 1
Tear off the required number of young leaves from the grapes, carefully cut the cuttings. You do not need to wash the prepared leaves.
Step 2
Take 4-5 leaves of roughly the same size and place them on top of each other. Roll a stack of leaves into a tight tube and place in a plastic bottle (through the neck). Then take the next five leaves and repeat the above manipulations. The bottle should be completely filled with leaves, and the leaves should lie in tight rows. One bottle with a volume of 0.33 liters holds about 40-45 leaves.
Step 3
Screw the bottle cap tightly on and place it in the sun (on the windowsill on the sunny side). The next day, slightly open the lid and release the accumulated gas and screw it tight again. Leaves should stand in the sun for 3-4 days, every day you need to open the lid and release the gas. Then store the bottles in a dark place. The leaves harvested in this way will be perfectly preserved for 8-9 months.
Step 4
Just before making dolma, cut open the bottle and remove the leaves. Place them in a cup and cover with boiling water. After 5 minutes, you can start cooking.
