Have you purchased a chicken and are now thinking about making it out of it? Fry, boil or bake? But it's so trite, cook the original Chicken Pepperonata!
It is necessary
- - chicken fillet, 1 kilogram;
- - tomatoes in their own juice, 800 grams;
- - large sweet peppers, 4 pieces;
- - two onions;
- - six cloves of garlic;
- - vegetable oil, 2 tablespoons;
- - ground pepper, salt - for an amateur.
Instructions
Step 1
Cut the chicken fillet into small pieces. Heat the oil in a saucepan or heavy-bottomed saucepan. Fry the chicken until golden brown, transfer it to a plate.
Step 2
Cut the onion into half rings, chop the garlic. Place the onion in a saucepan and cook for five minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 3
Cut the bell peppers into thick enough strips. Add garlic and pepper to the onion. Cook for another five minutes.
Step 4
Return the chicken fillet to the stewpan, add the mashed tomatoes (add juice too), salt to taste. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, simmer for about twenty minutes, covered, during which time the pepper should be soft.
Step 5
Sprinkle the chicken pepperonata with chopped basil and serve!
