There are leftover baguette in the bread bin, and you have absolutely no desire to make the usual sandwiches? A little more time and effort and you will have a wonderful Sunday dessert out of it!
It is necessary
- White bread - 6-8 slices;
- Melted butter - 3 tablespoons;
- Eggs - 3 pcs.;
- Milk - 200 ml;
- Heavy cream - 200 ml;
- Sugar - 60 g;
- Vanillin - on the tip of a knife;
- Jam, raisins, caramelized apples - optional and to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Cut off the crust of the bread and send it to a preheated oven (170 degrees), having previously greased it with oil. The bread should be browned. Do not forget to turn it over so that the bread is covered with a blush on both sides.
Step 2
In the meantime, beat eggs with cream and milk, add sugar and vanillin.
Step 3
Grease the form with oil (you can use baking paper). We spread a layer of bread, on top - a layer of jam (either sprinkle with raisins or shift with caramelized apples), on top - another layer of bread. Fill with egg and milk mixture. Let it stand for 15 minutes, put it in a large container with hot water (we build a water bath) and return it to the oven for 50 minutes.
Step 4
Let stand for 5 - 10 minutes and serve. Bon Appetit!
