Step 1
Free the pumpkin from unnecessary components (peel and seeds). After cleaning, grate on a medium-sized grater. Cut the pumpkin into cubes. Drain almost all the juice and add a little lemon juice.

In a separate bowl, grind the butter and sugar until the sugar crystals are completely dissolved in the butter. Pour in the yolks, and then the whites and mix. Add pumpkin and lemon juice. After that, mix the remaining zest from the lemon into the dough. It will give the dough a pleasant, sour flavor.

Stir in baking powder and gradually add pre-sifted flour. The dough should be plastic in consistency.
