Choux dough balloons stuffed with curd cheese, herbs and ham are a great snack that will suit any table. It is very simple and easy to prepare, beautifully served and eaten quickly.

Ingredients for the dough:

  • 100 ml of water;
  • 50 g margarine;
  • 1 pinch of salt;
  • ½ tbsp. flour;
  • 2 eggs.

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 280 g of curd cheese (can be with additives);
  • 100 g ham;
  • 2 green onion feathers;
  • lettuce leaves (for serving).

Preparation:

  1. Pour water into a saucepan, add salt and add oil. Place this mixture over medium heat and bring to a boil.
  2. Then pour sifted flour into the boiling liquid, mix everything and cook for 1-2 minutes until choux pastry is obtained.
  3. Cool the finished dough to a warm state, then add all the eggs (one at a time) into it, constantly stirring the dough until a smooth texture is obtained.
  4. Cover the baking sheet with food paper. Put small pieces of dough on the paper, which should be located far from each other, since the dough greatly increases in size during baking. Note that you need to lay it out with a teaspoon dipped in cold water, otherwise, the dough will stick to the cutlery.
  5. Place the baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
  6. After this time, remove the contents of the baking sheet from the oven and set aside until it cools completely.
  7. Wash the onion feathers and chop finely with a knife. Cut the ham into small cubes.
  8. Put the curd cheese in a deep plate. Add ham cubes and green onions to it. Mix everything until smooth.
  9. Cut each dough ball in the middle, stuff with curd filling and fold again. At the same time, it will keep its shape due to the filling.
  10. Cover the dishes with lettuce leaves. Place the balls on lettuce leaves and serve immediately.
