Vegetable salads are not only a decoration for any table, but also a necessary attribute for lunches and dinners. In addition, not a single festive feast goes without their preparation. If you are bored with standard and familiar types of salads, you should think about new recipes. An unusual, very aesthetic and very simple tomato salad with a spicy taste will refresh your table with its originality and complement any dish.

To make this easy spring tomato salad, you will need the following ingredients:

- two or three pieces of fresh red tomatoes (preferably firmer);

- two or three cloves of garlic;

- one head of onion (pickled) onions;

- two or three small walnuts;

- ground black pepper (a couple of pinches to taste);

- salt (a couple of pinches to taste);

- vegetable oil (can be replaced with corn or olive oil);

- parsley.

First you need to prepare the base of the salad: cut the onion into thin even rings, while separating each onion ring. Cut the tomatoes into neat thin slices. For this salad, the aesthetic component is also important. Both tomatoes and onions should be taken about the same size.

After that, you need to prepare the sauce: peel each head of garlic and grate on a fine grater or crush through a garlic bowl. Pre-grind the walnuts thoroughly and mix with chopped garlic and salt (you should get a mushy mass). You can also prepare the sauce in a blender - just add the peeled garlic and nuts and grind everything together. Using a blender will create a more uniform texture in the sauce.

Now you need to mix vegetables with the sauce, but this needs to be done in a special way: to make the tomato salad with nut-garlic sauce look unusual and decorate the table, it is laid out in the form of a pyramid in several layers on a flat and preferably beautiful dish.

First, put the largest slices of chopped tomatoes in a circle, pepper them and add nut-garlic sauce to each. Put the tomato circles on top again, but already those that are of a smaller diameter, again add sauce and pepper to each. The next layer of lettuce will consist of tomato slices of even smaller diameter. And so the procedure for forming layers is repeated several more times, until all the sliced tomatoes have been used.

When the tomatoes run out, sprinkle them on top with thinly chopped onion rings so that a dense layer is obtained. Then pour a little oil over the salad (two or three tablespoons) and garnish with parsley. Let the salad soak, leaving it in the refrigerator for a while (about 30-40 minutes). After that, the salad can be served at the festive table both in a salad bowl and in separate plates.
