The benefits and availability of such a by-product as liver have been known for a long time. But not every culinary specialist, especially among beginners, knows what can be prepared from it and how to properly cut it. In my opinion, the liver is delicious in a variety of salads. It is in this form that I manage to feed her fastidious children with it.
It is necessary
- - chicken liver - 250 grams;
- - green apple - 1 piece;
- - pork fat - 70 grams;
- - favorite variety of salad - 1 head of cabbage;
- - red salad onions - 1 piece;
- - lemon - 1 piece;
- - walnuts - 100 grams;
- - salt and black pepper - optional;
- - vinegar - 2 tablespoons;
- - olive oil - 2 tablespoons.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the liver thoroughly, remove all films, septa and vessels. In order for it not to taste bitter in a dish, you can soak the liver in milk for about half an hour. Then dry and cut into thin strips like beef stroganoff.
Step 2
Heat some olive oil in a frying pan and fry finely chopped bacon in it. Then add the liver to it and fry over medium heat for about 20 minutes, not forgetting to stir.
Step 3
Now you can start serving your future salad. To do this, the head of lettuce must be disassembled into leaves, rinsed, dried and put on plates. Next, you need to take an apple and an onion, peel them and cut into strips. Stir, pour over lemon juice and put on lettuce leaves. Lay the liver on top and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
To create a dressing in a container, mix spices with vinegar and olive oil. Pour it over the salad when serving.
