Chicken liver salad is a very satisfying dish. Chicken liver alone is a heavy product, but adding fresh green leaves and an apple to the salad will make the salad taste very fresh and delicious, and the dressing with fruit vinegar will add sour notes.
Ingredients:
- Red onion - 1 head;
- Butter - 20 g;
- Lettuce - 100 g;
- Green sour apple - 1 pc;
- Chicken liver - 300 g;
- Lemon - 1 piece;
- Sunflower oil - 4 tablespoons;
- Bacon - 100 g;
- Fruit vinegar - 2 tablespoons;
- Salt and pepper to taste;
- Pine nuts for decoration.
Preparation:
- So, in order to prepare this delicious salad, you need to thoroughly wash the chicken liver and clean it from films. If the liver was sold with hearts, they need to be removed, they will not be needed for the salad. Cut the prepared chicken liver into small pieces.
- Cut a slice of bacon into thin strips. If you don't have bacon on hand, you can use fatty smoked loin or bacon instead.
- Melt a piece of butter in a frying pan. Fry chopped chicken liver on all sides in this oil. Add bacon strips to the liver and simmer the ingredients under the lid for 10-15 minutes.
- The next step is to sort through the green lettuce leaves. Throw out damaged or strongly crumpled leaves. Wash the rest of the leaves and dry very carefully on a paper towel. It is necessary to line the bottom of a flat serving plate on which the salad will be served with these beautiful and dry leaves.
- The green apple must be cut very finely, and so that the apple does not darken, pour over the juice of one whole lemon. Place the apple on top of the lettuce leaves. Then, in the next layer, lay out the fried pieces of liver and bacon.
- Then cut the red onion into thin rings and decorate the salad with them on top. Sprinkle a handful of pine nuts on top.
- To season a salad, you need to mix fruit vinegar with sunflower and olive oil, salt and pepper the mixture to taste. With the dressing that turned out, pour abundantly over the salad.
