A very nice dessert, the recipe for which is simple. While the cake is baking, the caramelized cranberries at the bottom of the mold are converted into cranberry caramel syrup. Try this ensemble of flavors. After baking, turn the pie over - and a delicious, beautiful dessert is ready!

- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- - 150 g melted butter
- - 2 teaspoons of honey
- - 2 cups of flour
- - 1 cup granulated sugar
- - 2 teaspoons baking powder
- - 1 teaspoon of salt
- - 3 large eggs
- - 1 glass of sour cream
- - 2 cups frozen cranberries
- Optional ingredients:
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- - 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- - 1 tablespoon orange or lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- - fresh nutmeg
Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the caramel base. To do this, take a small saucepan and in it mix brown sugar, melted butter, honey, 1/4 cup of water and bring this whole mass to a boil. Mix well and pour the resulting composition into a baking dish.
Step 2
Now we are preparing the dough. In a bowl, combine sifted flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt and set aside. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and sour cream well with a mixer.
Step 3
Add any additional ingredients of your choice and add the remaining melted butter (1/2 cup) at the end. Mix everything well. Then add the flour and granulated sugar mixture. Stir until smooth.
Step 4
Gently spread the cranberries evenly over the caramel mass in a baking dish and press lightly. Place the resulting dough on top using a spatula, being careful not to touch the berries.
Step 5
Preheat oven to 190 C. Grease a baking dish with oil and cover the bottom with parchment paper. Bake the pie in the oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Then remove from the oven and let cool the pie for 15 minutes.
Step 6
Serve warm with fresh whipped cream.
