This apple pie is made effortlessly and the result is more than decent! In addition to wheat flour, rye flour is also used, which gives the product a rich taste and aroma.

- Dough:
- - 200 g wheat flour
- - 40 g rye flour
- - 1/4 cup sugar
- - 150 g butter
- - 1/2 lemon (zest)
- - 1 tablespoon sour cream
- - 1 egg yolk
- - a pinch of salt
- Filling:
- - 1 kg of apples
- - 6 tablespoons of sugar
- - 1 bag of vanilla sugar
- - 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- - a handful of raisins
Instructions
Step 1
First you need to prepare the dough. To do this, combine wheat flour, rye flour, granulated sugar, salt and lemon zest. Stir well with a spatula. Add butter, sour cream and egg yolk and stir until smooth.
Step 2
Form a ball from the resulting dough. Cover it with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 45 minutes.
Step 3
While the dough is resting, prepare the pie filling. Soak the raisins in a mixture of 1/3 cup rum and 1/3 cup water. Next, peel the apples and grate them on a coarse grater. Then add granulated sugar, vanilla, lemon zest and juice, cinnamon, raisins.
Step 4
Grease a 28x23cm baking dish with vegetable oil and sprinkle with flour. Take the dough from the refrigerator and divide it into two equal portions. Sprinkle flour on the work surface, roll out the dough (1 part) into a rectangle about the length of a baking dish. Then spread the dough into a mold.
Step 5
Next, put the filling on the dough. Repeat the same with the other part of the dough and place on top of the filling. Pierce the dough in several places with a fork.
Step 6
It should be baked in the oven at 200 C for 40 minutes. After baking, let the cake cool completely and then sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into squares and serve.
