Rules for baking pies in a slow cooker: useful tips

In a multicooker bowl, jellied, traditional or inverted pies are baked, the dough can be thin or denser. For the preparation of the dough, kefir of any fat content, fresh or slightly acidified, is used. It is important to ensure that the product does not have an unpleasant odor. Kefir is often replaced with homemade yogurt, yogurt, sour cream, diluted with milk - such a replacement does not affect the taste of products. The proportions of ingredients in recipes can be varied to taste by increasing or decreasing the amount of sugar and spices. The richness of the dough will be ensured by the soda added during kneading. It is not necessary to extinguish it, the characteristic taste disappears when combined with a fermented milk product.

So that the product does not burn and can be easily removed after cooking, the bottom is covered with oiled baking paper. The choice of the program depends on the model of the multicooker, most often the "Baking" or "Multipovar" modes are used. Usually it takes 60 minutes to bake, and in a pressure cooker the cakes are cooked faster. An important condition is that the pressure cooker valve must remain open. After the cycle is over, leave the cake covered for 5-7 minutes. The product is then cooled directly in the mold and served whole or cut into portions.

There are many benefits to multicooker baking. Kefir pies are prepared quickly, when baking, they do not need to be controlled, a correctly set mode excludes burning. The pie rises well, the taste is pleasant and balanced. The product has a perfectly round shape and can be easily cut into portions. However, cooking in a multicooker also has disadvantages: the pie does not acquire an appetizing golden brown crust and turns out to be less beautiful than products baked in an ordinary oven.

The finished sweet cake can be sprinkled with powdered sugar, chopped nuts or coconut, pour over condensed milk, jam, homemade vanilla cream.

Apple Pie: Step-by-Step Preparation

The simplest version of apple pie is a juicy fragrant charlotte. For baking, it is better to choose aromatic sweet-sour apples of late varieties, for example, Antonovka.

Ingredients:

  • 1 glass of low-fat kefir;
  • 2 cups premium wheat flour;
  • 3 large eggs (or 4 smaller ones);
  • ¾ glasses of granulated sugar;
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar;
  • 0.25 tsp salt;
  • 4 medium sized apples;
  • 0.25 tsp soda;
  • ground cinnamon to taste;
  • icing sugar for dusting.

Break eggs into a bowl, beat with sugar and vanilla sugar. A submersible mixer will help speed up the process. Pour in kefir and mix again. Add salt and soda, add sifted flour in portions. The consistency of the dough should resemble sour cream.

Wash the apples, peel, cut into cubes or very thin slices. Stir in cinnamon and fruit. If the apples are very sweet or bland, drizzle with lemon juice. Add chopped fruits to the dough, mix gently. The pieces of fruit should be evenly distributed.

Cover the bottom of the bowl with oiled baking paper, pour out the dough, smooth with a spatula or spoon. Set the Baking program for 50-60 minutes. If the cake is not baked within the specified time, you can continue the cycle for another 10 minutes. Cool the finished charlotte slightly in the mold and turn it over onto a dish. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, serve warm or chilled.
