Pork goulash with ketchup is a great addition to any side dish. The meat is tender and juicy. Pork gravy goes well with potatoes, pasta, and various cereals and vegetables.
It is necessary
- Pork - 600 grams;
- Onions - 0.5 heads;
- Wheat flour - 2 tbsp. spoons;
- Ketchup - 4 tbsp. spoons;
- Water - 500 milliliters;
- Bay leaf - 1-2 pcs.;
- Salt, spices.
Instructions
Step 1
To begin with, the meat is thoroughly washed under running cold water and dried with a paper towel. If a piece is caught hard and sinewy, then you can slightly beat it off with a special hammer or the non-sharp side of a knife. This will soften the meat and make it more tender. Then it is cut into small pieces and sent to the pan along with sunflower or olive oil, salt and your favorite seasonings.
Step 2
After the meat is fried on all sides until half cooked, chopped onions are sent to it. Optionally, you can also add a couple of garlic cloves, chopped into small pieces, to the skillet. In general, this meat gravy recipe can be varied and modified to suit your tastes by adding new ingredients. It is enough to fry the pork with onions for 5 minutes. Then these ingredients are sprinkled with flour, mixed thoroughly and left in the pan for a few more minutes. Flour is an essential ingredient in goulash with ketchup or tomato paste.
Step 3
Now is the time to add ketchup or tomato paste to meat and onions. Homemade ketchup made with fresh tomatoes, sweet peppers and various spices is perfect for this. However, you can also use a commercially available supplement. From above, all the ingredients are poured with water, covered with a lid and sent to low heat for about 20-30 minutes. Ready hot pork goulash with gravy turns out to be very tasty and tender. And everyone can easily repeat this simple recipe.
