Turkish "Pide" is in many ways similar to traditional pizza, but with a different taste. It will take time to prepare it, but you will not regret it. Delicious pizza with the most tender dough!

- Dough:
- - 500 g flour
- - 1 tablespoon yeast
- - 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- - 1 tablespoon salt
- - 1 cup warm water
- - 3 teaspoons of olive oil
- Filling:
- - 250 g tomatoes
- - 2 medium onions
- - half a red bell pepper
- - half green pepper
- - 400 g ground beef
- - 1 tablespoon of Vegeta universal seasoning
- - salt, pepper, cumin to taste
- - 4 tablespoons olive oil
- - 6 thick slices of Swiss cheese (or any other cheese)
Instructions
Step 1
To prepare the dough, mix yeast, sugar and warm water. Then cover and let sit for a few minutes until bubbles appear.
Step 2
Then mix together with flour and mix well. Add salt and olive oil and form a ball of dough. Leave the dough to rise for 30 to 45 minutes.
Step 3
While the dough is resting, prepare the filling. Pour 2 tablespoons of olive oil into a skillet. Put the tomatoes in boiling water for a minute, peel and chop.
Step 4
Chop the onion into thin rings, chop the red and green peppers, lightly fry in olive oil.
Step 5
Add ground beef, all spices and tomatoes. Cook until the minced meat is brown.
Step 6
Divide the dough into 6 equal portions.
Step 7
Roll each piece into a long oval slab. Fold the edges of the slab inward and then twist one end to the right and the other to the left.
Step 8
Place them on a greased baking sheet. Place the pieces of cheese on top of each layer.
Step 9
Divide the filling into 6 equal parts and place on the dough.
Step 10
Bake at 200 C for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
