Stuffed onions are a great snack for any food. It can be served with meat, fish and even vegetables. And experimenting with the filling, you can even make it an independent dish, which is not a shame to serve to the most demanding gourmet.

It is necessary

  • - onions - 8-10 pieces;
  • - potatoes - 2-3 pieces;
  • - mushrooms - 300 g;
  • - egg - 1 piece;
  • - sour cream - 100 g;
  • - cheese - 50 g;
  • - vegetable oil;
  • - fat;
  • - ghee;
  • - salt, pepper and herbs to taste

Instructions

Step 1

Peel large onions, wash, cut by one third from the side of the roots and disassemble into three layers (cups). Finely chop the mushrooms. If they are dry, soak and boil first. Then fry with the onion center, cut into small cubes.

Step 2

Boil the potatoes, mash, combine with onions, mushrooms, pepper, salt, add finely chopped greens and mix everything thoroughly. Pour in the beaten raw egg and stir again. Then fill the onion cups with the resulting mass. There should be enough filling so that it forms a cap on the onion. Grease a frying pan, place the stuffed onions, pour ghee over each onion and put in the oven for 20-30 minutes.

In vegetable oil, fry the onion, cut into thin strips, add flour, fry and pour in boiled water (hot mushroom broth). Let it boil, salt, pepper, pour in sour cream, mix everything quickly and sprinkle with chopped herbs. Pour the stuffed onion with the resulting sauce, sprinkle with grated cheese and bake for 7-10 minutes. This dish can be served both hot and cold.
