Instructions
Step 1
Put warm milk, water and granulated sugar in a bowl. Mix everything thoroughly and add dry yeast.
Step 2
Separate the egg yolks from the whites. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites lightly, then add the vegetable oil and melted butter.
Step 3
Mix flour, salt and granulated sugar with a mixer.
Step 4
After the yeast has swollen, add the flour, salt and sugar mixture and stir slowly. Then add the egg mixture and knead the dough with your hands.
Step 5
Coat the dough with butter, cover with plastic wrap and leave until it doubles in volume.
Step 6
Sprinkle flour on a work surface, divide the dough in half and then each half into 12 equal portions.
Step 7
Lightly grease your hands with vegetable oil and roll out flagella 25 cm long and 1.5 cm in diameter from each part of the dough.
Step 8
Take two flagella and twist them together. Connect the ends and form a round bun as shown in the photo.
Step 9
Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Preheat oven to 195 C.
Step 10
Whisk the egg yolks with 1 teaspoon of milk and brush over the buns.
Step 11
You can sprinkle them with sesame seeds or poppy seeds. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
