Prunes and Armagnac make a very aromatic cold treat. Armagnac is an alcoholic drink, which is the oldest French brandy, made from grapes. Such a sorbet is prepared quickly, you just have to wait until it freezes.
It is necessary
- For eight servings:
- - 2 glasses of water;
- - a glass of Armagnac;
- - 200 g pitted prunes;
- - half a glass of orange juice;
- - 3/4 cup sugar.
Instructions
Step 1
Mix prunes with Armagnac in a small container and leave at room temperature for a whole day. The prunes should be soaked in the drink and soften during this time.
Step 2
Combine sugar and 0.75 cups of water in a small saucepan, bring to a boil, stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Reduce heat, simmer the resulting sweet syrup for a couple of minutes.
Step 3
Pour the syrup into a blender, add the soaked prunes, chop everything to a puree. Pour in the orange juice, the remaining water (it should be cold) and mix again until smooth.
Step 4
Rub the mixture through a sieve into a large bowl, and refrigerate in the freezer for one hour. After that, transfer the mass to an ice cream maker, and if it is not there, then put it in a container with a sealed lid and put it in the freezer for a couple of hours. Take out the container from time to time and stir the mass.
