It is necessary

    • 500 g bell peppers;
    • 70 ml of olive oil;
    • 1/2 or 1/4 hot pepper pod;
    • 5-6 cloves of garlic;
    • 1 tbsp vinegar;
    • salt and sugar;
    • 70 g of emmental cheese;
    • a sprig of basil;
    • dried paprika.

Instructions

Step 1

Cook the baked peppers in the marinade. To do this, take as fresh peppers as possible, preferably from the garden. To make the dish more beautiful, choose specimens of different colors - green, yellow, red. Wash vegetables and cut in half. Use a sharp knife to cut out the inner partitions and seeds. The stalk can be left or removed at your discretion.

Step 2

Bake the peppers in the oven or in the microwave on the grill setting. At the same time, it is advisable not to add oil to the baking sheet or limit yourself to a minimum amount so that the pepper does not stick. Keep it in an oven at 180 degrees for 7-10 minutes. It should become soft. Cool the finished pepper a little and remove the skin from it. To make the process easier, the vegetable can be placed hot in a plastic container with a lid and covered for a few minutes. The skin comes off easily.

Step 3

Cut the finished pepper into strips. Place it in a deep bowl and make the marinade. Chop the garlic very finely. Add chopped red hot pepper to it in the same way. Please note that the juice of this product is very caustic, and it is better to cut it with rubber kitchen gloves. Pour this mixture into the pepper. Next, pour in the olive oil. Add a little vinegar, preferably wine, and a pinch of salt and sugar. Add chopped basil or some dried paprika if desired. Mix everything thoroughly. Cover the finished dish with a lid and put it in the refrigerator after the peppers have cooled. Keep them marinated for at least 3-4 hours before serving.

Step 4

This pepper can be served as a snack. In this case, it is advisable to sprinkle it with a small amount of unleavened cheese, for example, emmental, right on the plate. This will soften the spiciness of the dish and give it that extra flavor. Also, this dish can be an addition to meat. But it is desirable that the meat dish be sufficiently bland. Lean pork, chicken or turkey breast work well.
