Ingredients for chak-chak

For dessert, take the following foods:

- 1 large or 2 small chicken eggs;

- 200 grams of wheat flour, always of the highest grade;

- half a glass of honey;

- half a glass of granulated sugar, - ghee (vegetable oil can be used);

- kernels of any nuts (simple lollipops are possible)

- salt (amount to taste).

Chak-chak recipe

Beat the eggs thoroughly, adding a little salt to your liking. Add flour to the resulting mass so that the result is a dough that will not stick to your hands. Cover the dough, which should look like dumplings, with a napkin or fold into a bag for 30 minutes.

Cut small pieces from the finished dough and roll them into thin bundles.

Cut the resulting sausages into small pieces of arbitrary shape. They can be long, square, and so on. Dip these pieces in small batches in boiling oil for frying until golden brown. Remove excess fat from the fried pieces. To do this, place them on a paper towel or in a sieve.

In a heavy-walled saucepan, combine the sugar and honey and gradually bring the mixture until the granulated sugar is completely dissolved. Put the finished fried pieces into a deep plate and pour over the hot boiled syrup, stirring quickly until the syrup has time to thicken. Make sure that the honey syrup is evenly distributed.

Soak your hands in cold water and put the resulting chak-chak piece by piece on a plate, shaping it into a slide or whatever you like. Decorate the top of the resulting dish with nuts or candies and leave until completely solidified. You can serve the resulting chak-chak to the table whole, or by cutting it into pieces. If desired, you can add dried fruits to nuts and candies. This dish is stored for a very long time and over time its taste is not lost, it remains the same tasty, delicate and unique.
