Instructions
Step 1
Prepare herbal tincture. Peel off the leaves from all the herbs, you will not need the stems. Mash the nutmeg with a knife and mix with the herbs. Mix the resulting mixture with alcohol in a glass 3-liter container. Cover tightly with a rag or lid and store in a warm, dark place for 2-3 weeks.
Step 2
Distillation. Before you start distilling alcohol, its content in the solution should be no higher than 60%. If yours exceeds the specified rate, dilute it with water. Strain the alcohol beforehand, you will no longer need the grass. The distillation process takes about 10-12 hours. As a result, you should get 2 liters of clear distillate 70%.
Step 3
Absinthe color. In this way, you will give a pleasant color to your drink and it will be saturated with a unique taste. Take 1 L of distillate and add the herbal recipe to it. Close with a tight lid and let it brew for 5-8 hours. Filter the resulting mixture and pour into the second half of the distillate.
Step 4
Excerpt. Basically, absinthe is ready to drink, but so far it tastes harsh. Therefore, after preparing the drink, it is recommended to stand it for 1-2 weeks. Its color will change slightly, but it will not affect the taste in any way.
