Water is the most mysterious and most unusual substance on the planet. It was in it that life was born, and all living organisms on the Earth consist of water by at least 50%. Therefore, you need to drink clean water every day to make up for its losses.

Water is the most important component of any living cell. With its deficiency, metabolic processes at the cellular level are disrupted, a salt imbalance occurs, and the cell simply dies. Therefore, water is not only useful, it is vital for the human body.

Nervous system

The nervous system, in particular the brain and spinal cord, is 85% water. However, water is constantly lost, excreted from the body, so its losses must be replenished immediately. Water deficiency in nerve cells manifests itself almost immediately: pain occurs, often very severe. Sometimes a sharp and severe headache is just a signal of dehydration, and not an analgesic will help with such pain, but 1-2 glasses of clean drinking water.

To get rid of headaches, irritability and fatigue, in order to maintain maximum efficiency and stress resistance of the nervous system, you must drink at least 5 glasses of water daily.

Nutrition and cleansing

Salts, micro- and macroelements, as well as some vitamins dissolve quickly and well in water. In this form, all these substances are much easier and faster delivered to the cells, ensuring normal cellular metabolism and the full functioning of the body as a whole. Lack of water causes a real hunger in cells and tissues, because of which they begin to die off. Chronic dehydration and massive cell death lead to premature aging of the skin, so those who care about their appearance should not forget about water.

In addition to useful substances, waste products of cells are also dissolved in water: slags, toxins, ballast substances. They are excreted with sweat and urine, due to which the body is cleansed and is not poisoned by its own metabolites.

Also, water is directly involved in thermoregulation, lipid metabolism and regulation of the digestive tract. By the way, a lack of water in the body can cause chronic constipation, and they, as you know, not only cause various inflammatory bowel diseases, but also lead to intoxication of the body.

How and how much to drink

It should be said that only clean drinking water is useful for the body. Juices, teas, coffee and other drinks are perceived by the digestive system as food and, accordingly, are digested without replenishing the fluid deficit. Therefore, you need to drink clean water, not less than 1.5-2 liters per day.

Water should be purified, but not distilled or boiled, because during distillation and boiling it loses useful salts and elements. It is better to drink before meals or 1-2 hours after it. You should not drink immediately after eating, as water dilutes the gastric juice and thereby impairs the digestion process.
