Little Red Riding Hood took “a pie and a pot of butter” to her grandmother - fortunately, she lived in a time when the products were still natural and there was no reason to doubt their quality. A modern pot can contain anything from delicious butter to transgenic margarine. In order not to make mistakes when buying, it is very important to be able to distinguish one from the other.
Instructions
Step 1
Butter can only be considered a product obtained by whipping cream, skimmed from natural cow's milk. Therefore, carefully read the composition of the purchased "pot", it should not contain anything except cream, whole milk and sometimes salt.
Step 2
If you don't buy butter from your grandmother in the market, but from a regular supermarket or corner store, do not hesitate to clarify the specific brand of the product being sold. Real butter will not be called anyhow, but "butter", "peasant" or "amateur". Each of these varieties has a strictly defined fat content, established for them by consumer standards. So, for example, the fat content of peasant butter should be exactly 72.5%.
Step 3
Do not believe the GOST inscription on the oil packaging. Of course, butter obeys the conditions of GOST, but margarines and spreads also obey them, so it is not known which GOST the manufacturer mentions.
Step 4
By the way, it's also a good idea to look at the price of the product being sold. Knowing that the purchase price of milk is 10 rubles, and that the production of a kilogram of butter requires at least 20 liters of it, it is foolish to expect that someone will be able to offer you butter for 100 rubles or less.
Step 5
Therefore, if you are offered cheap oil and OIL is written in large print on the pack, do not believe your eyes, but look at the jar again and carefully. Is there an additional inscription on it smaller "soft butter", "buttered mass" or "dietary oil". Do not believe the same advertising slogan "oil-free cholesterol". Natural fat has always contained and will contain cholesterol, and "healthy butter" turns out to be the same margarine.
Step 6
In order not to run into a fake, carefully study the product and its packaging before purchasing. Purchase oil from trusted persons, the only way you can remain confident in its quality.
