Vinaigrette is one of the favorite snacks on the Russian table. Many holidays are not complete without this bright salad, which plays out the appetite with its seductive color alone. Each housewife prepares the vinaigrette in her own way, but beets will be a must-have ingredient in any recipe. If you add sauerkraut to the salad, it will give the dish a special taste.

  • - carrots 300 g
  • - potatoes 400 g
  • - sauerkraut 200 g
  • - pickled or pickled cucumbers 200 g
  • - onion 150 g
  • - canned green peas 100 g
  • - vegetable oil
  • - salt

Instructions

Step 1

Beets, carrots and potatoes must be peeled and boiled in lightly salted water until tender. Cook all vegetables separately.

Step 2

Finely chop the onion, and cut the pickled cucumbers into small cubes.

Step 3

If the sauerkraut is too salty or sour, it should be lightly rinsed with water. If the cabbage is cut coarsely, then it needs to be chopped.

Step 4

Cut the boiled beets, potatoes and carrots into cubes of about 1x1 cm.

Step 5

Gently mix all the vegetables and add the green peas. Season the salad with vegetable oil, salt to taste and the dish is ready.
