Monastic sauerkraut salad is a lean dish that can be used to decorate any festive table. Ground cinnamon and cloves give the ingredients a spicy taste.
It is necessary
- - ground cinnamon
- - ground cloves
- - 200 g sauerkraut
- - 2 pickled apples
- - 1 tsp. Sahara
- - 150 g frozen lingonberries
Instructions
Step 1
Squeeze the sauerkraut thoroughly. Collect the brine in a separate container. Mix the juice that remains after defrosting the lingonberries with cabbage brine and mix with one teaspoon of sugar. Season the resulting marinade with ground cinnamon and cloves to taste.
Step 2
Stir the sauerkraut thoroughly with the lingonberries. Add some marinade and repeat mixing. Chop the pickled apples into thin strips and add to the mixture. Season the salad with the remaining brine again.
Step 3
Apples can be used as a decoration by placing them in a beautiful composition on top of the salad. The mixture should turn out to be a rich burgundy hue. The amount of marinade can be increased at your discretion.
